Yahey our Human Lan Evo is here and what a purchase man! Should be a great daily ride as well! I guess all it needs are light engine and suspension tuning indeed, it already looks good this way.

And OH MY GOOOOOOOOD AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA finally the Evo X is here again!
It indeed needs some light tuning, I like how it looks with this color tbh. I spent like a week deciding if I wanted a Red or a Grey Evo lmao.
Also yes, beast is back!

And he bought another Evo, who would've thought. Although i always prefered the 9 over the 8 that you got, yours still looks just fine. FQs are rare to come by so why not improvise and make it perform like one, right? Great job on the Evo 10 too, very similar livery but a bit more simple, and the darker shade of red makes it look better all around!
Yo thanks for recommending me to paint on a darker shade of red, looks so much better! Also I like how the Evo 8 looks more compared to the 9MR

That's why they all call me the Human Lan Evo lmao, also thx for the compliment, it was Lagano's idea.

Ford Racing 4spd

I think putting a car maker name, adding "Racing" and the number of gears that it has is starting to be a trend in my thread. Oh well, I'll try to continue this trend I guess.
Image
Back to what we should be looking at. This was the car that effectively helped the whole Kami group save all of the cars by carrying us all blazing through the flooding west capital of the rising sun. So why is this stripped right now? During the siege against a Hagabis the car went through hell and back, from going through just over ankle height of water to reach Westkyo on the last stint, to pebbles making a hole on one of the grilles and chipping both front and rear bumpers in the process.
Image
One of those pebbles almost made it to the radiator, if it wasn't because of the front bumper cross bar, we would have been stranded in the middle of a desolated city with an overheating 'Stang and no help to be sought. The rear bumper guards ended up in pieces because of the debris from broken structures hitting it, there's so much you can ask to such car in such situation, A pick up would have come handy two months ago... Anyways, here's the pictures of the S197A after fixing all of the scratches on the body with some paint and getting the chassis and bumper guards installed. Paying 250V$ after such experience didn't feel that bad, considering how it was.
Image
It also got lowering springs and new rims, It was long due of any kind of customization, considering I had it for a long while and to be honest I didn't have plans to do anything on it since its my only daily that doesn't make my ass hurt. But, since I bought the CT9A and used that as the commuter to work, Akihabara, that ramen place that serves the best noodles in the whole world somewhere in Shibuya, KS Garage and my new appartment, this Coyote wasn't being used, the final nail on the coffin was discovering that Ford is making new 67' Fastback chassis and engines to feed the Ford enthusiasts hunger. Omori Factory could learn a thing or two from the Americans...

And this is why I bought the mods. I had to get rid of it ASAP after torturing it and I had to hide all traces of beating up this pony. Of course cleaning it up a lot but I had to make it more appealing than other offers, even if it was at the expense of profits. 3250V$ was let gone to gain 36350V$. (I'm sorry @Niatross and @RocketBunnyS13 for selling your gift, but it kinda reminds me of that bad era in my life. Its high time to let go and that includes this)
Oh almost forgot. Insurance called, they gave us 20k each.
We have to pay 3k every month now, something that we aren't used to yet, in fact, both AJ and Muza forgot to pay they part so I had to pay it all. (I'm happy with a some Yokohama Special ramen from Ippuko as payment)

So, what did I do with this new found dough?
Buy more cars to fill my affectionate void that my ex left in me, duh.
Image
More like a Lego Technic 67' Fasback duh. Yeah, I fucking bought a brand new, 2018 produced, 67' Mustang chassis for 18500V$. See, Ford being a cool company (despite of the E-Mach fiasco) they decided to certify and give VIN plates to newly made chassis of old mass produced icon cars for those who want their own car without rats, rust holes and heart attack inducing work. All of these chassis comes aligned, rust protection coated and checked by Ford themselves. They also provide sheet metal and body parts for their old cars, something that Nissan started to hook up. Imagine if Omori started to do their own BNR chassis to sell to the thirsty worldwide customers, that would solve a lot of problems. (Porsche pls do this, Nakai-San has been making air cooled Porsches unobtainable because he has been butchering every single one he finds). Anyways, I had to pay an additional 2050V$ for the front subframe with 351W mounts, 3175V$ for the front coilover supported suspension with power steering support, 2650VS for the rear suspension designed for coilovers, so glad that they include everything needed for it, then there's the Longchamps, the Baer brakes and the tyres, which costed 5000V$. Yes, buying a 67' would have been cheaper than doing this but I don't want other's headaches.
Image
The crate engine is a 351ci Ford Windsor with an Edelbrock Top End Kit rated at 451HP, it saves me a hasle of sourcing individual parts for it, specially since I've never worked on such type of engines before. 7450V$ well spent!
Image
Oh and the transmission, A Ford Racing 4spd that comes with a 9' rear differential and its drive shaft, costing at about 7'2k. I don't even know what's better about, I only bought it since it has a top speed of 260kph and its an official product.
Image
Looks sexy just like this.
Image
Then it was time to finish fitting the steering assembly, put some seats and fitting the front fenders. They aren't aligned yet since the other body parts hasn't arrived yet, but its starting to look fresh. I'll continue this when the other part arrives, I still have to connect the rear diff with the engine, do all sorts of wiring, aligning, checking... the usual things any materialistic car guy has to go through I guess.

Oh, Lenovo, I almost forgot about you!
Image
Let's keep it short, last week I got sideswiped by some cunt, damaging my rims and scratching the whole passenger side, luckily the lad paid me the new rims, suspension alignment (just in case, I dont want my car veering to the left) and paint, so here's a new picture of the its new look from some Tsukuba setup laps!
Anyways, here's my finances.

The Mustang has done quite noble job of saving your lives man. You could have built a plinth or a rotating showcase spot a la Top Gear's Hilux, but in the end I do understand you need some cash. Selling your birthday gift is quite a painful sight, but then again sometimes life itself is painful.

Um, I don't know what would you think (despite being the very Human Lan Evo yourself), but I think any Evo could do a better emergency rescue job as well as it has AWD and reasonable ride height, and of course more space for just about everything. So after all it's not really a huge loss of the Mustang, given in the end it doesn't have any purpose after the CT9A comes. Well there are drag racing events across Japan, but then again they're only a few and far between. If it's not at Motegi it would be at Central Circuit, and I usually only have my eyes on the Motegi ones.

On a brighter note, that means we both sold our Mustangs  If I have the money I do want mine to be a drag racer as well, but I've seen and read how expensive a pro drag car can be, and it's not really my cup of tea anyway, so why bother? Lack of money of course only added salt in the wound. So of course I had to sell it to someone that has some of them...........

Moving on to the brand new old statesman that is the '67 Mustang, I'm surprised that (a)the project actually exists, and (b)It's not built or offered by any of Ford's division (e.g. Ford Racing) or affiliates (e.g. Icon, who builds restomodded Mustangs and Broncos and headed by ex-Ford SVT directors), but directly by Ford themselves. Yeah I agree, european and asian manufacturers could try to copy the american way of selling their performance parts, i.e. crate engines and fresh chassis. I know Nissan and Mazda has their own restoration/heritage program and several manufacturers like Porsche, Jaguar (and Land Rover), and Aston Martin are open for authentic restoration and/or restomod requests, but still...........

I'm quite glad you went to the authentic route for the engine and restomod route for the transmission, handling and control equipments, reminds me of Aston's DB5 restoration model which iirc costs a million Pounds. Obviously you gotta have that modern quality handling quality and stopping power, and the Longchamps is quite a nice retro touch. I was expecting you to choose something like, oh I don't know, Coyote crate engine to power it, but the Windsor is a brilliant choice as spare parts and aftermarket parts for it are abundant. Give the gear slightly longer ratio to make it a streetlegal NASCAR classic, or shorten the ratio to turn it into an OG Trans-Am fighter instead.

And hey, treat me a bowl of that ramen sometime will ya? With your crew as well if you want! ;)

The CT9A does the same job as the S197A even if it has a frail transmission and its older, sacrifices to do when you want to keep the most ammount of Evos possible. To be honest I've been contemplating selling the GT in favor of a potential Wangan car, but after some deep thought I don't think that's the best idea, neither is building a Mustang GT from the ground up but at least I know I can sell it for a high price with very low mileage if I get bored of it. Plus the exclusivity points for being the only Mustang in Japan that was built with the Ford Heritage Program might bump it up.

I still haven't decided if want this to be Trans Am racer, since I dont have the 302 stuff, specially the engine, which is a 351 not a 302, but I could try doing something along those lines.

Damn son, a '67 Fastback?! Well the newer Mustang was sold for a good reason. Starting from a bare shell is a tough but rewarding process, you'll end up with a basically brand new classic car! I can also get you some parts for it when i get back to USA. ;) And the Evo 10 looks awesome as always, let's do some more laps on Tsukuba!

Ku-ris-ma-su: Remembering the past part 1

12/12/2019 12:03 PM
Subaru Tecnica International, Mitaka, Tokyo

Ma: Topy
Ha: Hanteo
Ak: Akane
Ar: Arata
Ei: Eichi

Ak: It's almost Kurismasu! What are you going to do these holidays?
Ma: Kurismas?
Ei: Christmas, its just that her English pronunciation is bad.
Ak: It's not bad! Tell me a sentence for me to say.
Ma: "I like America"
Ei: Oh don't you dare
Ma: "Nice nice nice nice"
Ak: I rike Amelica, noicenoicenoicenoice
Ma/Ei: At least she sounds like that VR Chat girl. She's still rather bad at it tho.
Ak: I'M NOT BAD AT ENGLISH
Ar: What is even going on.
Ha: I don't know, I just want to eat in peace.
Ma/Ak/Ei: Sorry.
Ak: Anyways, I wanted to ask if you have some time to help me restore my dad's AE86's
Ha: Kin's 86?
Ak: Of course, you airhead.
Ma: Says the airhead.
Ak: Why are you always so mean Mako-chan.
Ar: Sorry to interrupt. who's Hachi-Roku are we talking about?
Ha: My best friend's 86, we used to ride together a lot.
Ak: My mother and Hanteo-san's wife used to be high school friends, that's how they met. Since then they basically became brothers from another mother.
Ha: I still remember when Kumi and you first met, you were so cute at the time.
Ak: I haven't met Kumi-chan in a long time, it's been a minute.
Ha: She wants to go out on the 24th with you as a surprise, you didn't hear it from me.
Ei: Can we go back to the 86 thing?
Ma: I'm in, I can lend you the workshop I own with my friends if you want. I won't be able to let you use the place during some days though.
Ar: Oh Makoto-kun is making moves.
Ma: Shut up, you rascal. Just say you're in.
Ha: I'm in, I want to see that thing running again.
Ei: Arata and I are free this weekend, we're in.
Ar: HEY DON'T DECIDE THINGS WITHOUT ASKING ME
Ak: Shut up, you're in. Is it ok if we start tomorrow?
Ma: 9 AM at the workshop?
Ei: Yeah I'm ok with that.
Ha: I'll be late, but I'll go.

Ha: Hanteo
Ak: Akane
Ar: Arata
Ei: Eichi
Mu: @Niatross
Ku: Kumi

Ma: You're late.
Ak: Sorry, the battery died on the way here, a man with his family helped me revive it using his minivan.
Ei: Don't worry, Arata hasn't arrived yet, actually we think he's dead asleep.
Ma: He doesn't answer our calls.
Ak: I bet he was in Shibuya hooking up with some gal she found in a club.

Phone vibrates

Ei: "Sorry, a bunch of friends asked me to hang out and I ended up drunk, I'll be there in a minute."
Ak: Told ya, he's so predictable.
Ma: We should start stripping this thing then, Eichi-Kun, help me push this thing in.
Ak: Tell me were to park this thing.

Image

Ei: So this is your father's Hachi-roku.
Ma: It's so wasted. Hey, isn't that Hanteo's old Levin front fender?
Ak: Yeah, at least it looks better than 5 years ago, or 15...
Ei: What happened to it?
Ak: This thing crashed 15 years ago, at the time I was 7 years old. I don't know the full details of the crash but uncle Hanteo does, you should ask him.
Ma: ...
Ei: Uhh, where the tools, let's get going.
Ma: Over there.

13:55 PM

Image

Ei: Damn this thing doesn't have a single spot of rust, it's incredible, it might look done for but this thing is reall-
Ar: Hi everyone, how's the 86 going?
Ei: It's almost 2, where have you been?
Ar: Sim racing. Is that the your papa's 86? It looks like it got vandalized
Ei: God I want to kill you.
Ma: Hey why don't we get something to eat? I'm hungry.
Ak: Me too!
Ei: Me three.
Ar: Me four!
Ma: I ain't paying your meal, you know how much we needed your help?
Ar: Ok ok ok, I'll pay Akane-chan's meal, I don't have enough money to pay it all.
Ak: Wait! I don't have a car.
Ma: Don't worry, we'll use my MR.

Why is she so hesistant to talk about her father.

Image

16:47 PM

Ha: Why is this place so empty, I thought these kids were stripping Kin's Hachi. Hello? Anyone?
Mu: Hi there, I'm Muza, Marc's friend, he told me to welcome you since he was out getting lunch.
Ha: Marc?
Mu: Makoto, we call him Marc since it's easier for us to call him like that.
Ha: Ahh ok, where can I park my car?
Mu: The hangar right besides this building is our storage, you can park it there, anyways I have to go now, Marc's late.
Ha: Late?

A 8MR appears

Ku: Hi Makoto-san
Ma: Hi Kumi-san, it's been a minute since we last saw each other.
Ha/Mu: Where have you been?
Ma: Eating? Getting proteins and nutrients for my inmensely big forehead?
Mu: Well you're late.
Ei: For what?
Ma: I don't know, I really don't.
Mu: WE WERE GETTING MY *** TODAY WITH @Lagano AND @BigSmoke YOU DUMBASS (check Niatross update)
Ma: OH SHIT FUCK I FORGOT. Sorry guys I'll have to leave you here.
Ak: We can still use the workshop right?
Ma: Yeah, just leave everything where it should be, and park the Levin inside the storage building.
Ar: Leave it to us! We won't fuck anything up, hopefully.

A 6TME roars from inside

Mu: Lagano wants to get moving, let's go.

The three cars sets off

Ha: So, how are you kiddos doing?

22:13 PM

Image

Ku: Does anyone want anything to eat? I brought bentos.
Ar: Really?!?! Kumi-san you're so nice!
Ha: Kumi and my wife has done some bentos while I was in my check-up since they wanted to help somehow, enjoy them.
Ak: Arigatou Kumi no okāsan!
Ku: Hey! What about me!
Ak: I don't even know who you are.
Ha: Papa! Aka-chan is picking on me!
Ha: Papa? Who are you and why such cutie pie is taking to me.
Ar: Moshi moshi? Keisatsu desu ka? Furui chikan wa 22-sai no josei o nayama sete imasu.
Ha: OI! DON'T YOU DARE.

Laugher ensues

Image

Ei: Anyways, we could call it a day, we've stripped this thing down and sanded it. Let's continue another day.
Ku: We should eat, its twenty past ten.
Ei: The problem is, where should we eat?
Ar: I just asked Makoto-kun, he says there's a lounge area upstairs with a table and some seats. He says that if someone wants to play the guitar, he or she can only use the turtle-back acoustic or the Cherryburst Les Paul. Lastly he says that we should wait until someone called AJ (@RocketBunnyS13) arrives, he's on his way.
Ak: Let's go eat then!

Your little girl is doing this for you, Kin.

Aaaaah I thought that's Hanteo-san's AE86, was wondering why it suddenly going bust. I was close enough it turns ou  Nevertheless that's quite a noble job you guys did there, restoring a classic for Akane and everyone's memory's sake. Well, I'm sure it has its own patina and backstory, I'd like to hear more if I may. I might crash into your place (the KS garage, that is) if you and the crew still have the AE86 there :D

And yeah, that explains the ruckus I saw in the background for a while when I got to the KS garage as we run with Muza for his, um, special deal. I really like to spend some time with your crew (the entire crew, obvs), but eh, I've got a race to do the very next day. Oh well, next time it is
